Nayara has joined the Riback Lab as a Postdoctoral Associate (March/April 2023), where she has developed a passion for the field of condensates and aims to contribute to the biophysical perspective. She obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from São Paulo State University in Brazil, investigating the physicochemical parameters of protein-drug interactions (Dr. Marinônio L. Cornélio) and the mechanical properties of cancer cells in the presence of anticancer compounds at Rice University's Physics and Astronomy department (Dr. Ching-Hwa Kiang). Nayara is a DIY (do-it-yourself) enthusiast; she enjoys spending time with her toddler and husband exploring playgrounds/parks and restaurants.
