Evdokiia Potolitsyna

Evdokiia joined the group as a Postdoctoral Associate in January 2023 after obtaining her PhD at the University of Oslo. During her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Nolwenn Briand, she studied the role of long non-coding RNA HOTAIR in adipogenic differentiation of human adipose stem cells. Specifically, she described a role for HOTAIR in regulating protein synthesis and cytoskeletal remodeling of differentiating adipocytes. Through this research, Evdokiia became interested in nucleoli and their role in cellular differentiation. She aims to combine biophysical approaches with her skills in cell biology to tackle the questions of nucleolar organization and function. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and playing video games.Â
